Obituary: Robert E. Morrow
(1915 - 2008)

Robert E. Morrow of Fraser passed away at the age of 92 on April 15, 2008 at Cliffview Assisted Living in Kremmling. He was born to Walter and Millie (Richal) Morrow on Sept. 25, 1915 in Lodgepole, Neb.

He was united in marriage to Lucille B. Peterson in Littleton on Aug. 5, 1934 and they raised three sons together.

When Robert first came to the Fraser Valley, he worked for Koppers Company as a logger. He also oversaw the WWII German prisoners that were brought to the logging camp to work. He then started a construction company in 1969 and worked with his sons in this enterprise.

Robert helped to form the first fire department in Fraser, was a Lions Club member, a member of Benevolent Order of Elks in Idaho Springs, and a member of the Church of the Eternal Hills.

Robert enjoyed watching any kind of sports and going on picnics.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Lucille in December 2000, and his brother Rich Morrow.

He is survived by his three sons Lee Morrow and his wife Betty, Steve Morrow and his wife Jean, and Cary Morrow all of Fraser; his brother Dell Morrow of Spokane, Wash.; his sister in law Mildred Thompson of Denver, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren also survive him. A celebration of Robert’s life will held at the Fraser Historic Church on Tuesday April 22, 2008 at 2 p.m.

Interment will be at the Fraser Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials in Robert’s honor can be made to Cliffview Assisted Living, P.O. Box 1119, Kremmling, CO 80459 Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Foran-Schoenfeld Mortuary – Hot Sulphur Springs.
