Marcia Irene Carlyle Harrington of Glenwood Springs passed away on April 23, 2008. She was 58 years old.

She was born in Salida, to Ethel M. (Blocker) and Frank W. Harrington Sr. on Dec. 2, 1949.

Marcia lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 56 years. During this time, she dedicated her life to taking care of others. Her more then 37 years at Valley View Hospital took her from the emergency room to ICU to Hospice care.

Her sense of humor, her genuine love and caring of others made her the special person everyone loved. She was a mentor to many, a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother (Mor Mor), friend and colleague. She will be missed.

Marcia is preceded in death by her mother, Ethel M. Harrington.

She is survived by her son, Christopher E. Carlyle, and daughter, Sofia L. Fisher-Carlyle(Kelly) of Fraser; by her brother Frank W. Harrington Jr. (Cathy) and sister Margaret A. Neil(Bill); grandchildren Ariana, Hayden, Willow and Brenna Fisher.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 2 p.m., at the Sonlight Foursquare Church, 0355 Mitchell Creek Rd. (CR 132) in West Glenwood Springs — Rhonda and Bernie Masimer officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebud Cemetery.
The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Roaring Fork Hospice.
