Gynecologist will staff Kremmling Hospital clinic each month

Print Comment
When word came through the grapevine that a ski-loving, outdoor enthusiast, (who just happens to be an open-minded, compassionate, board-certified gynecologist and obstetrician), recently purchased a second home in Winter Park, the hospital put on a recruiting hat and a smile.

Fortunately for women of Grand County, the recruitment efforts were successful. Dr. Valerie Ginsburg will be available for consultation and treatment options, including certain surgical options, at the specialty clinic at the hospital in Kremmling once a month and eventually twice a month because of likely demand.

Ginsburg believes in the importance of empowering women to seek and receive the best treatment options for their health care issues. And in Grand County that means making this specialty more convenient by having it available locally.

“It's important that women have convenient access for consultation and treatment of gynecological issues,” Ginsburg said, recognizing that sometimes a trip to Denver for services isn't always a convenient or timely option.

Ginsburg received her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver and completed her residency their as well. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Family practice physicians can now refer patients locally with issues involving infertility, menopausal counseling, incontinence, contraceptive issues, abnormal pap smear results, issues involving ovulation or the menstrual cycle, postpartum care and support and more.

Her patients who see her at her practice in Denver value her attentiveness and compassionate approach.

“Whether I am treating a young girl on her first gynecological visit, a woman about to become a mother, or a woman seeking answers to her questions about menopause, I like to get to know the person and work together in order to find the answers that work best for them,” Ginsburg said.

To learn more about Valerie Ginsburg, MD, visit www.kremmlinghospital.org, call the specialty clinic at Kremmling Memorial Hospital, 724-3115, or ask your family practice physician if further consultation from a gynecologist is right for you.
