Middle Park Land Trust is holding its 13th Annual “Purely Grand” Photo Contest, featuring Grand County photographs in six categories.

Any amateur photographer may submit as many photos as desired, in one or all categories. Residency is NOT a requirement.

Tara Jamison, photo contest coordinator, encourages everyone to dig out their cameras and photograph their favorite scenes.

“MPLT's mission is to preserve Grand County's special places, so this annual contest provides an opportunity to showcase yours,” Jamison said.

The six categories are: Scenery, Agriculture, Wildlife, Floral, Black and White, and Kids under 18 (all categories). Prizes will be awarded for each category.

Entries must be 8x10 matted photographs, submitted or mailed to the Middle Park Land Trust office at 52 N. 1st in Granby, by Aug. 21. Additional details and previous winners are at www.middleparklandtrust.org.

Winning photos and many other entries will be displayed at The Purely Grand Photo Reception on Friday, Aug. 28, from 4-7 p.m. at Country Home, 318 E. Agate Ave., in Granby.

The Middle Park Land Trust quilt raffle drawing will also take place at the Reception.
