2010 will be a special season for Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre. On April 10, RMRT will celebrate the official groundbreaking ceremony to honor Phase One construction of its new 300-seat theatre complex at 404 Vine St in Grand Lake. Therefore, 2010 will be the final theatrical season in the Grand Lake Community House, RMRT's home for the past 23 years.

2010 will also mark the final season for RMRT's current Managing Director and Youth Theatre Administrator/Company Manager. Chad and Sally Scott have officially resigned their positions effective at the end of the 2010 season. “As most of Grand Lake knows, we welcomed our first son Oliver into the world this February. We feel now is the time to set our family roots in Indiana.” said the Scotts, who have held their positions for six years.

The RMRT Board of Trustees has wasted no time in filling the staff vacancies. RMRT alumni Scott Haden has been hired as the new Managing Director and Clare Arena-Haden the new Youth Theatre Administrator/Company Manager. Scott Haden first appeared as an actor with RMRT in 1997 and has since held multiple positions, most recently as director of RMRT's Youth Theatre Production. Clare Arena-Haden has performed in 20 RMRT productions and was on the inaugural staff of RMRT's youth program in 1998. “Grand Lake has been such a beloved part of our past - we look forward to it becoming our future.” said the Hadens.

“I feel that, with the new facility opening in 2011, now is the ideal time to hand over the management of the theatre to two people who love RMRT just as much as Sally and I,” said Scott. RMRT Artistic Director Michael Querio said, “RMRT is strong ... its strength comes from its support, its community, and its patrons. You're going to continue to love Rocky Mountain Repertory, and you'll love having Clare and Scott as part of the team.”

Chad Scott will remain RMRT's Capital Campaign Manager through the new theatre's opening in June 2011.
