KREMMLING—Join the Grand County Historical Association and the Middle Park Medical Foundation this Saturday, March 12, for an evening with some of Grand County's most interesting historical characters.
“High Country Healers — an Evening of Grand County Medical History,” includes presentations by Dr. Susan M. Beck and Laureen Meyers who will examine the lives of local medical celebrities Dr. Ernest Ceriani and Doc. Susie.
Dr. James Kennedy will be the evenings' emcee, with a special performance of 'Doc Susie' by Grand County Character Kathy Naples.
The event takes place at the conference room at Kremmling's Allington Inn. Time for socializing begins at 5:30 p.m., homemade chili dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and presentations begin at 6:30 p.m. The evening will conclude at 8 p.m., following honorary recognition of local supporters.
In addition to GCHA's journals, books and publications, copies of the DVD “Doctoring,” examining the lives of rural doctors Dr. Ernest Ceriani and Doc Susie, will be available for sale.
Tickets cost $10 ($5 for GCHA members), including dinner, desserts and non-alcoholic drinks, and can be purchased at either Pioneer Village Museum in Hot Sulphur Springs, at Cozens Ranch Museum in Fraser or at the door on the evening of the event.
