Granby facilitator attends international Sirolli forum

The Granby Enterprise Initiative's Enterprise Facilitator Patrick Brower attended the Sirolli Fall Forum in Atchison, Kan., earlier this month, learning from Enterprise Facilitators and master trainers from around the world.

The Sirolli Fall Forum, an annual event of the Sirolli Institute, gives enterprise facilitators like Brower a chance to learn more about their profession, gain insights from fellow facilitators and catch up on the latest trends in enterprise facilitation.

Enterprise facilitators provide free and confidential business management coaching to people wanting to start or expand businesses in their communities.

"Meeting and talking with other enterprise facilitators from across the country and around the world gave me renewed inspiration and new ideas for my work," Brower said.

Brower works for the Granby Enterprise Initiative, a nonprofit effort that promotes grass-roots economic development in the Granby area.

"We were happy to send Patrick to the Sirolli Fall Forum, where he was able to gain knowledge and skills to perfect his craft that ultimately will help to grow jobs in the Granby area," said Jynnifer Pierro, Granby mayor and president of the management board for the Granby Enterprise Initiative. Other members of the management board are Marise Cipriani, owner of Granby Ranch, Nancy Stuart, Grand County commissioner, Wally Baird, Granby town manager, and Kyle Harris, CEO of Granby Ranch.
