Jim enjoyed various occupations from ranching in Flagler and Kremmling, Colorado to working at the Amax Mine near Kremmling, but it was in 1994, when he passed his brand exams that he moved to Brush, to find his loved profession of brand inspector for the State of Colorado. Jim continued as a brand inspector when he relocated to Burlington. Jim was very good at his job and loved to work with the ranchers in the surrounding communities. When his illness made it too difficult for him to continue working he retired and relocated to his home of Flagler where he resided until his death. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren, neighbors and family.
Jim is survived by his sons: JW (Barbara) Jones and Will (Rebecca) Jones, both of Casper, WY; his mother Agnes Jones, Sister Jan (Chris) Michal both of Flagler; nephew LeRoy (Christy) Michal of Florida and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
