The U.S. Forest Service roadside hazard tree contractor is currently working on the north end of Kauffman Road (FSR 121.1). This road has been closed for the season due to multiple contractors working in the area and will remain closed through the remainder of the calendar year.
Hauling will take place on Stillwater Road (FSR 123) between Kauffman road and Colo. Highway 125 through Thanksgiving, so please be alert and use caution when traveling that section road. Backcountry travel is allowed in the area, but for safety, stay back 300 feet from the road and any equipment.
Roadside hazard tree work is expected to begin later this month on Arapaho Bay Road (County Road 6) from U.S. Highway 34 to Monarch Lake, causing delays of up to 30 minutes in each direction.
Work on Kawuneeche Road (FSR 120) is now complete.
