The East Grand School District chose four finalists from 36 applicants for the superintendent position this week. District officials hope to secure the position by Feb. 5 with a July 1 starting date.
The school board, using screening criteria established through focus groups made up of the board of education, administrative and teaching staff, and community groups, selected the following Colorado-based candidates as finalists to be interviewed on Feb. 1:
∇ David Crews, superintendent, Norwood School District, Norwood
∇ Jody Mimmack, Ph.D., executive director achievement and growth-instructional support, Mesa County Valley 51, Grand Junction
- Judy Skupa, Ph.D., assistant superintendent, Thompson School District, Loveland
∇ Matt Snyder, executive director, Southeastern BOCES, Lamar
The interview process will include opportunities for staff and community members who have been assigned to interview groups to ask questions of the candidates, as well as provide the candidates an opportunity to visit schools and tour the community.
The East Grand School District superintendent search is being conducted by the Colorado Association of School Board Superintendent Search team.
