Granby bus to shuttle Snowballers

The Granby Town Board approved contributing $1,400 to help pay for a bus that will shuttle people from Granby to Winter Park for the Snowball Music Festival. The Granby Chamber of Commerce kicked in an additional $1,000 to help pay for the bus.

Granby's lodging has already begun to reach capacity for the weekend of the festival with reservations beginning to be made as far as Kremmling and Grand Lake.

Operating a bus from Granby to Winter Park will be a good way to make sure people who are in Granby for the festival have a safe way to and from the town. The bus will also help to keep the roads safer for residents of Granby, said Laurie Findley, executive director for the Granby Chamber of Commerce.

"The chamber board unanimously supported contributing to the shuttle for the Snowball event," Findley said.
