1. How long have you lived in Kremmling? (Brief info about owner)
I moved to Kremmling in 2005 from Grass Valley, California. I came out early Spring to do a season of archaeological field work for the BLM.
2. History of your business?
Once my summer job was over, I randomly met a couple of massage therapists who said they were passionate about their work. Not having had a massage before, but ever the optimist, I figured those conversations were a "sign". I took a leap of faith and enrolled at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in January of 2006. During that school year, I knew I wanted to come back to Kremmling -the wide open views and unpretentious character of the town pulled me back. I knew it would work out somehow. And since then, I've been on a path that fulfills me to the core, convinced it is what I've always been meant to do. My original degree in Anthropology and all the years of reading maps and topography lend to bodywork, believe it or not. Bodywork and postural assessments are an extension of my fascination with understanding and being of service to people.
3. What products or services does your business offer?
Therapeutic massage, manual lymphatic drainage, and corrective exercise therapy or postural alignment therapy, Egoscue Method.
4. Anything new going on or special promotions you are currently offering?
The newest component to my practice has been Postural Alignment Therapy using the Egoscue Method . Through the use of corrective exercises, it has helped me and my clients build body awareness, balance and core strength. Posture has an effect on the whole body. Restoring alignment is the key to addressing chronic pain.
5. Tell us something we might not know about your business.
I knew I had to find a job where I could bring my dog(s) to work. Secretly, it's all about the dogs..and the flower beds.
6. What's your favorite thing about doing business in Kremmling?
All my wonderful clients and the relationships built over the years. There is nothing more rewarding that helping take care of people in my community.
7. How do you enjoy the Kremmling area when you're not working?
I love to walk and hike with husband Mike and my dogs. There are endless beautiful areas just outside of town and throughout the State we love to explore.
