GRANBY — The Grand Elk Owners Association has successfully completed a multi-year effort to acquire the Grand Elk golf course from High Golf LLC.
The transaction was effective as of June 1 and is the culmination of efforts on the part of the Grand Elk Owners Association Board of Directors, Resort Management Group, and representatives for High Golf LLC.
The Grand Elk golf course is an 18-hole Championship Craig Stadler Signature course designed by Tripp Davis and had been privately owned since 2003.
“This transaction helps to secure the future of the Grand Elk development by ensuring the course remains open and viable for both owners and the public,” said Tom Fry, Grand Elk Owners Association board president, in statements released last week, June 5.
The Grand Elk golf course is not subsidized by any government entity and will be supported by membership fees, local play and the restaurant and bar revenue.
