I would like to thank the Granby area Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity to be the Grand Marshall of the 4th of July parade. We started off with more than 10 pounds of candy and ran out before the halfway point, but the kids managed to keep their water guns full for the length of the parade. The rivers and creeks in Rocky Mountain National Park continue to produce Brook trout and a couple brown trout on dry flies in the evenings. The Fraser River through Winter Park is also producing trout on dries. The summer heat is pushing fish deeper every week in Granby, Shadow Mountain and Grand lake. The rainbows and browns are moving up the shorelines in the evenings and early mornings. The lake trout are still on their downward descent to there summer haunts. As we catch small fish, a big one will come around.
