Author Jim Lindsey visits library book talk

On Oct. 19, just in time for Halloween, author Jim T. Lindsey will be at the Fraser Valley Library to talk about and read from his novel of lost souls,” The Flaw in the Fabric.” The book is an epic mix of life after death, time travel, past lives, historical fiction, sea-faring, swamp spirits, and undying love. The title indicates that something is unraveling in the fabric of reality. The main characters are caught up in the chaos that results.

Lindsey is a dual citizen of the U. S. and Canada and for the past 18 years has made his home in a fishing village in Nova Scotia, where he has spent much of his time soaking up the local folklore and researching the province’s roughshod beginnings. An actor as well as a writer, Lindsey is the narrator of the audio version of The Flaw.

The author is a practicing Buddhist who has abandoned his meditation cushion for a seat in the dory he rows on the ocean. His upcoming book, Rowga, The Yoga of Rowing, describes the benefits of this approach to physical as well as spiritual well-being. Come to the library event to learn more.

The talk and reading is open to the public and will last from 2-3 p.m., to be followed by a question and answer period.
