WINTER PARK – Corona Pass Dental in the Pine Tree Plaza is now owned by dentist Dr. David Drescher.
“I’ve been coming up here for a couple years when it was a hygiene office,” he said. “I liked coming here and bought it from the previous owner, Claire Silk. We are running it the same way.”
Dr. Drescher has been practicing dentistry for 18 years in Oregon and Colorado. He graduated from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine, and is originally from northwestern Illinois. His wife is a Colorado native and they moved here together from Oregon in 2005. They have two children.
He comes to the Winter Park office twice a month, and will come more often in the future, he said.
He lives in Eagle County and has another dental office in Idaho Springs.
“We provide excellent customer service,” he said. “Trish helps with insurance and is very accommodating scheduling patients in the schedule. We have a pretty relaxed environment, and a great view of Corona Pass when you’re in the chair.”
Foot massages are an additional service that past customers have enjoyed, said Trish MacDonald, who is back managing the office after working for Silk for 12 years. Sarah Howe is the dental hygienist and a graduate of CU School of Dentistry.
Specialty care is offered by Dr. Kate Wilson, a periodontist who schedules appointments once a month for surgery, and Dr. Thomas Chubb, an orthodontist who schedules appointments every three weeks and has been working out of this office for over 16 years with the different owners.
By summer, the office will have a children’s dentist coming up from Denver with appointments once a month, said MacDonald.
Corona Pass Dental offers hours on Saturday for cleanings.
