Letters of thanks: Lions supports pet-food charity
Ryan Summerlin April 16, 2013
Max’s Full Belly Deli, Grand County’s only pet food bank, recently got a little fuller. Max’s was given the nod of approval in the form of a grant by the Lions Club Foundation of the Fraser River Valley.
For those of you who have heard of the Lions and perhaps think that all they do is sell mints and collect old vision glasses, you might find it interesting to know they are a nonprofit organization with chapters throughout the U.S. These chapters focus on the needs of the communities in which their members live.
Lions Club International originated in Chicago in 1917 and has chapters throughout the world. It’s an honor to be recognized by the Lions, which acknowledges Max’s Full Belly Deli is making an impact, not only in the lives of pets, but also in the lives of the people who love them.
Thank you Lions Club Foundation of the Fraser River Valley for helping Max’s Full Belly Deli continue to make a difference in Grand County.
