Fraser Electronics opens its doors

The Radio Shack in Fraser wasn’t closed for long before a new electronics and computer accessory store opened its doors. Fraser Electronics is owned and operated by Rick Holden, who also owns longstanding Grand County computer repair business Holden’s Hard Drive. The new business is located in the same spot as the former Radio Shack in the Murdoch’s shopping center in Fraser.

“Grand County needs an electronics and computer accessory store,” Rick Holden said.

“With the closure of Radio Shack, we felt this would be a great opportunity to ensure locals have access to items they need without having to drive over the pass”

Fraser Electronics plans to carry many of the hard to find items Radio Shack was known for as well as chargers for laptops; Apple products; phone and camera accessories; USB charging blocks; a wide assortment of cables; flash drives, external hard drives, SD cards, computers, and computer accessories.

Fraser Electronics shares space with Holden’s Hard Drive, the computer repair and service business that Rick Holden has been operating for nine years.

“It makes sense to have Fraser Electronics and Holden’s Hard Drive operating under the same umbrella,” Holden said. “Customers in need of computer repairs may not need electronics, and not all people needing electronics need computer repairs. But many times the two go hand-in-hand and we’re excited to offer a one-stop shopping experience”

Holden worked with the Grand Enterprise Initiative and Enterprise Facilitator Patrick Brower in the planning and implementation stages of his new business.
