Ditch & Reservoir Company Alliance convention takes place Feb. 26-28

The 12th Annual Convention of the Ditch & Reservoir Company Alliance will be held Feb. 26-28, 2014, at the Plaza Event Center in Longmont, Colorado.
The convention, “From Drought to Deluge — Dealing with Uncertainty,” will focus on flood and recovery issues facing ditch companies along the Front Range along with other timely subjects. A wide variety of speakers have been invited and additional topics will include presentations on current legislation and legal issues facing agricultural producers and the ditch and reservoir companies that provide them water.
The Company Alliance will be hosting a pre-convention workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The workshop, Creating Efficiencies and Reducing Transaction Costs for Ditch Companies, will explore how ditch companies can increase their financial viability in today’s complex world. There will also be three concurrent workshops on the final day of the conference: Water Accounting for Ditch Companies; Conserved Water Statute and the Company Alliance’s role; Information Technologies for Ditch Companies, Web Pages, Excel, and GIS.
The Ditch & Reservoir Company Alliance, a nonprofit organization established in 2001, is dedicated to serving the needs of mutual ditch and reservoir companies, irrigation districts and lateral companies.
