A Chorus Line takes Grand Lake theater stage starting this Friday

Thousands audition in the world of Broadway, but only a few take the stage. This is the story of the ones that make it…and the ones who don’t. Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre’s third show in the 2013 season is “A Chorus Line,” and is one of the most iconic musicals of all time. Winner of nine Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, A Chorus Line showcases the ambitions, hopes and fears of a group of dancers as they bare their souls and compete for eight coveted spots in a Broadway chorus.

“This musical hits home on so many levels,” explains director Jeff Duke. “This is a show for anyone that has put it on the line for their dreams. Performers around the world connect to this material in such a deep way, and our company is no exception. I think these performances will have a profound effect on our audiences. It’s wonderfully entertaining, and yet so very moving. This is a experience our patrons will not want to miss.”

A Chorus Line runs at 8 p.m. from Friday, July 5, through August 24 at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, 800 Grand Ave., Grand Lake. Seating for this production is already limited, and audiences are encouraged to reserve their tickets now. Due to the mature nature of the production, A Chorus Line is rated PG-13.

Tickets are on sale now for the rest of the season, and can be purchased in person at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, by phone at 970-627-3421, or online. Additional information, seating charts, and performance calendars can also be found at www.RockyMountainRep.com.
