Andy Irvine Blues Collective kicks off blues weekend at Cooper Creek Square

It’s that time of year again when the blues comes to town. Kicking off the Blues From The Top Festival weekend for the 5th consecutive year will be Andy Irvine Blues Collective from 6-8 p.m., this Friday, at Cooper Creek Square’s Music On The Mall.
Irvine, endorser of Warwick basses, is an internationally known bassist, recognized by his driving bass grooves, huge tone, ferocious soloing and song writing skills. With a playful musical personality and dynamic presence on the stage, Irvine radiates with passion and love for his craft everywhere he goes. This year Andy has rounded up a number of special guests to share the stage and set the mood for a blusey weekend.
Music On The Mall is a summer concert series held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. every Friday through Aug. 29 at Cooper Creek Square in downtown Winter Park. The series is free and open to all ages. For more information go to www.coopercreeksquare.com or call 970-726-8891.
