Creepy Candies By Maddox Carter
T'was the night before Halloween, when a Mad Scientist stayed up all hours of the night in his lab creating creepy candies. These candies weren't just ordinary candies, these candies had the ability to turn a person into various creatures such as spiders, bats and even ghosts! He had to get the recipe perfected before Halloween. The next day Maddox, who lived a few streets away was preparing for his Halloween holiday. He put on his costume, grabbed his pillow case and headed out to trick or treat. He went from door to door, skipping down the street. He arrived at a big Victorian house, a Mad Scientists house. He rang the buzzer, and a man in a white lab coat with wild white hair answered the door. He handed Maddox a handful of candy, and in the mix was a giant gummy spider. Maddox couldn't resist, he ate it immediacy as he skipped away. Moments later he started to feel funny. He felt dizzy and fell to the ground. He started to turn black and grew 8 longs legs, Maddox had transformed into a black widow! He had to think, he couldn't go home because his parents were terrified of spiders and they would squish him instantly. So he ran through the field and down the hill with this 8 long hairy legs to his grandma's house. She opened the door in shock and before she could slam it she heard a tiny voice cry out "HELP ME NAN, HELP ME!" She realized it was Maddox and listened to what had happened. She drove him to the Mad Scientists house, he explained that he didn't have a cure and hopefully it would wear off by morning. Maddox and his grandma sat until the sun came up, he felt funny and began to transform back to his normal form. The moral of the story is ALWAYS have your parents check your Halloween candy before you eat it, especially when you trick or treat at a Mad Scientists house!
