Grand Lake event formally welcomes back theatre performers

The community Welcome Back Party for the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater is this Wednesday, June 4, at E.G.’s Bar & Grill in Grand Lake. Hosted by the Grand Arts Council, this annual event is always a hit show. The summer season officially begins when the Rocky Mountain Repertory gang returns. And this is a chance to get up close and personal with this year’s cast and crew.
After several years in different locations, this event is back home in the garden patio at the newly remodeled E.G.’s Bar & Grill. A donation of $10 is requested at the door to the party, which is from 5-7 p.m. The Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre company consists of highly talented actors and musicians just one song and dance step away from Broadway.
Once you’re in, E. G.’s will provide appetizers, and the bar will be open. After an enjoyable time of mingling and munching, theater folks will give an evening of entertainment. Both the musicians and actors will draw from their repertoire of show tunes to dazzle the audience with their wide range of talents. “The Grand Arts Council looks forward to this special event every year” said Andrea Cox, president of the Grand Arts Council.
In 1995, after a two-year hiatus and reorganization, the theater company was invited by the Arts Council and the town to return to Grand Lake with summer performances. Since then, the Grand Arts Council has welcomed them back every year. During those years the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre has thrived and grown into the successful production company town members appreciate.
