Fraser Valley Elementary receives Gov.’s Distinguished Improvement Award

FRASER — For the second year in a row, Colorado is recognizing Fraser Valley Elementary for its academic growth.

The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award is given to schools exceeding academic growth and meeting or exceeding expectations in academic growth gaps. The successes are measured in reading, writing and math by testing through the Transitional Colorado Assessment Program, or TCAP. Fraser Valley Elementary Students received the designation because they out-performed 92 percent of schools in the state.

“We are very proud of the hard work and dedication of our teachers, the support of our parents and community members as well as the high academic performance of our students,” said Fraser Valley Elementary administrative assistant Kari Van Horn in an email.
