Freeride Festival hits Winter Park Resort

Top mountain-bike riders are starting to stream into Winter Park, gearing up for the Colorado Freeride Festival set to start Thursday, July 25, through the weekend.
With more than 800 athletes representing over 20 different countries, the event is shaping up to be one of the largest mountain bike events in the U.S. this year, according to a press release from Winter Park Resort.
Competitors will compete in four different disciplines over the four-day event including Enduro, Cross-Country, Air Downhill, and Slopestyle and will have a chance to take home their share of more than $45,000 in prize money.
The event also features the only stop in the U.S. for the Enduro World Series as well as the only Gold Level stop for the FMBA Slopestyle, which features any of the world’s best X-Games athletes.
