To insure ballots make it in on time, Grand County Clerk and Recorder Sara Rosene encourages citizens to drop off their ballot in person at one of the drop-off locations.

The County Clerk’s Office must receive your ballot by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Postmarks do not count. The US Postal Service (USPS) needs time to process and deliver your ballot. It is recommended to personally deliver your ballot to any of the locations listed below. It is a violation of law to receive more than ten ballots for mailing or delivery in any election. If you do return your ballot through the USPS, you must affix postage to your envelope. Find postage rates at grandvotes.org.

Colorado has “same day” registration. People can register to vote and vote up to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. People can register or update registration at govotecolorado.com. After October 31, ballots cannot be mailed. Anyone registering or updating registration after October 31 will have to appear in person in order to vote.

Ballots are picked up at the drop boxes by Election Judges everyday.

A person can see if his/her ballot has been received by checking at govotecolorado.com
