Grand Lake Golf Course club news and results June 5 to June 12

It was opening day for the Women’s Clubs of the Grand Lake Golf Course with The Nifty Niners and the Tee Bags playing a scramble together. First place went to the team of Jerri Drury, Connie Graham, Jane Bodmer and Maureen Delsing with a score of 38 for nine holes.
The three-some team of Lucette Kottcamp, Joan Malouff and Phyllis Loftsgard came in a close second with a score of 39 followed by Linda Appelhans, Mary Bown, Marsha Bartholomew and Janie Brownlee finishing in third place with a nine hole score of 40. Congratulations to Jane Bodmer with a chip-in on hole no. 10 from 138 yards out to give her team an Eagle on that hole.
Golf was followed by the Opening Day Luncheon with 43 Ladies in attendance at the Sly Fox Restaurant at the Grand Lake Golf Course.

Best Nine Holes was a game played by the Ladies of the Tee Bags at the Grand Lake Golf Course on Tuesday, June 12th. Ladies played 18 holes and were able to chose the Best Nine minus 1/2 their handicaps to determine the winners. Jill Taylor won by a landslide with a score of 30, followed by Phyllis Stephens with a 35.5 and Laura Summers with a 36. Jeanne Lucas had an incredible three Chip-Ins! One on hole #6, then hole #7 and again on hole #17. Totalling number of putts for the 18 holes, Jill Taylor again took first place with 29 putts, followed by Jeanne Lucas with 30 and a tie for third between Tina Hull and Jane Bodmer with 34 putts each.
It was a game of Low Net that netted Gladys Howard of The Nifty Niners first place this week, she was followed by Lee Rogers in second and Jean Klanica in third. Gladys Howard also won lowest putts with just 14 putts in her nine hole round and Vicki Nessan had a beautiful chip-in on hole #7.
