Letter: Benson, Who I am voting for

Who I am voting for

Many of us have wanted an outsider, a non-politician, and some one with business experience for a long time. Trump is that guy. As a developer, he has had to work with politicians, bureaucrats, royalty, dictators, and yet he has taken a $400 million inheritance, and turned it into a 5-8 BILLION dollar real estate empire. You don’t do that if you are an idiot. Every thing about Hillary is known, and there is nothing good to say about her. I am only going to say this about the Presidential and Federal elections. I am going to vote for Republicans all down the line. ‘Nuff said. In the State election, it is imperative that the Republicans hold on to the State Senate. I will vote for Randy Baumgardner. I don’t know his opponent, but she does not have MY best interests in mind! If we lose the thin margin in the State Senate, you can expect a whole host of California style impositions to your freedom. I also urge voters to vote for Rich Cimino. I know Andy Miller, and his slogan is correct. He wants to build bridges, with your money, but for his benefit. I believe that he also wants to put further roadblocks in front of certain developers, and feels he can do that best as County Commissioner. On the ballot questions, I will vote yes on T and U. On 69 and 72, these are both theft by deception. They exponentially raise taxes, and are blank checks for politicians, and special interests, and will cost you huge amounts of tax dollars. The State minimum wage would only cause the folks that need those kind of jobs to be shut out. That would be kids, and entry level workers with no job histories. If you are at a job for a year, and still getting minimum wage, you are overpaid. Prop 106, I am voting yes. I watched my Mom and Dad both die of dementia, and I have no desire to live like a Rutabaga in a nursing home. Let me sign a living will, and put me down while I still have some dignity. I was in favor of 71, until I learned that it still only requires a simple majority to repeal an Amendment. That has to be raised to super majority. The politicians want to repeal TABOR, and this would give them the chance.
