Letter: Everham, Andy Miller will build bridges

Andy Miller will build bridges
As a long time part timer and now full-time retiree I marched in the Grand Lake constitutional parade for Andy Miller. I was struck by the large number and variety of dogs standing patiently and well behaved with their families. So many different animals, people and families gathered together peacefully and cheerfully in community to support the Constitution and the idea of creating a nation of diverse individual’s coming together to ensure domestic tranquility and to provide for the general welfare of all. An arch was formed by two fire and Ladder trucks framing the stars and stripes and forming a bridge over the street and community. That brings me to Andy Miller and his campaign for commissioner. Andy is a bridge builder. I first met Andy through a friend because I was concerned about the sale of oil and gas leases here in Grand County. I found him empathetic to my concerns, knowledgeable about the history and able to give me sources for more information. That is how Andy is. He has been building bridges and serving this community for 40 years. He knows the issues, their history, and is willing to listen to a variety of points of view. He encourages transparency and bringing people together to problem solve. He will build bridges to keep this valley strong and grand. We as a community would be lucky to have Andy serve as commissioner.
