Letter of thanks: Pet Pals to Grand Foundation

To the Editor:
The future of our local animal community continues to shine even brighter thanks, in large part, to Grand County’s own Grand Foundation. On behalf of all our animals and the board of directors of Grand County Pet Pals, we want to thank the Grand Foundation for its ongoing encouragement and support by providing several grants to Pet Pals for its animal welfare projects.
Most recently, Grand Foundation provided the funding enabling Pet Pals to host a special voucher promotion, offering 40 vouchers worth $100 each towards spay or neuter surgeries of local pets. Spay/neuter voucher offerings are just one of the many ways Grand County Pet Pals strives to reduce the number of unwanted pets in our community. Tragically, over 4 million homeless pets are killed each year in America’s shelters simply because they are homeless. At Pet Pals, we view spay/neuter as one of the keys to reducing the number of unwanted pets in our own shelter. Thank you Grand Foundation for your continuing support of Pet Pals’ efforts to encourage responsible pet ownership, animal health and education programs, and the spay/neuter of pets in Grand County. Together we’re making a difference in our community!
