Letter of thanks: Samaritan Soup Supper
Ryan Summerlin October 18, 2013
To the Editor:
The Soup Supper Committee at the Church of Eternal Hills would like to thank all those who made this year’s annual Samaritan Ministries Soup Supper a great success
This event was held on Oct. 8 and made $1,350 with the proceeds going to the Samaritan Ministries. This nonprofit organization is a collaboration of churches in Grand County that gives assistance for rent, utilities, prescriptions, and temporary housing to those in need. So far in 2013, Samaritan Ministries has helped 66 families and 91 individuals in Grand County.
The Soup Supper Committee would like to thank the more than 40 Church of Eternal Hills volunteers, the Sky-Hi News, Morales Farms, and Tabernash Tavern. Last but not least, we thank all our guests who came out and supported this event. Without the community participation, we would not have been able to achieve this important mission outreach.
