With the 2011/12 winter season in full swing at Winter Park Resort, it is important to emphasize safe skiing and snowboarding. Winter Park Resort will participate in National Safety Awareness Week January 14 -22, 2012 where skiers and riders can actively engage in learning the best ways to keep themselves and others safe on-mountain.
“Avid snowboarders, skiers and terrain park enthusiasts are sure to learn a variety of aspects of enjoying the high country both on and off the slopes,” said Katie Soles, Winter Park Resort Ski Patrol. “This week, our goal is to inform and help guests to make their time on the slopes more enjoyable, and most importantly, a safer experience. Skier and rider safety is one of the most important values for all of us at Winter Park and the National Safety Awareness Week is a testament to our long-standing commitment,” Soles continues.
