Nonprofit of the Week — Eternal Hills Christian Preschool
Ryan Summerlin May 9, 2014
Eternal Hills Christian Preschool, is located in sunny Tabernash. The preschool mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment to develop the whole child: socially, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Each child is made to feel individually important and unique. Social skills and emotional development are enabled through teachers’ creative self-expression exercises using mediums such as art, spontaneous free-play, and dramatic play. Toddlers, 12 months and independently walking, fill their days with exploration, sensory activities, music, stories, and gross motor play in a nurturing, age-appropriate setting. In a carefully designed play environment, preschoolers, 2.5 to 5 years, gain independence through daily activities, build relationships with their peers, and develop fine and gross motor skills. Surrounded by love and creativity, the preschool-aged children are introduced to such curriculum as Incredible Years, for social/emotional skills, Handwriting Without Tears, for preparation for writing in Kindergarten, and Authors of the Month.
