The Connect for Health Colorado insurance marketplace went live on Oct. 1, receiving 34,500 unique visitors in its first three hours. This user overload caused some errors and glitches, which have since been remedied. But the marketplace, which is the state’s answer to the federal Affordable Care Act, continues to cause some local confusion. Sky-Hi News has collected the following information to help Grand County residents navigate the new exchange:
•To get started, search for and purchase health insurance through the new marketplace, visit www.connectforhealthco.com.
•To access the Connect for Health Colorado without a computer and Internet, call 1-855-PLANS4YOU.
•For local help in selecting health insurance, or for questions about the new insurance marketplace, Grand County Rural Health Network has two trained health coverage guides, Kyle Gateley and Kim Long. Email them at firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com, or call them at 970-725-3477.
