For more than a century, Camp Chief Ouray has been providing generations of children with supportive, enriching experiences in Grand County. The first annual Camp Magic Mud Run took place at Snow Mountain Ranch on Sunday, April 28th. Participants hula-hooped, limbo-ed, jumped and swung through 5 km of mud in the spirit of camp fun. We are proud to report that over 95 runners braved the mud and snow to help us raise over $3,700 for our Camp Chief Ouray scholarship fund.

We would like to thank the generosity and support of The Salon at Winter Park, A Kut Above, Real Estate of Winter Park, MAD Adventures, Silver Mountain Jewelry and Gifts, Honey Stinger and Philanthropic Educational Organization who donated items for the silent auction.

The amount of money raised will help us send up to 15 children to camp this summer who otherwise would not be able to afford a camp experience. Thanks to our donors, we have never turned away a camper who could not afford camp. If you know of a local child who could benefit from the positive impact of summer camp, please contact us at 970-887-2648 or chiefouray@ymcarockies.org.
