Letter: Why I support the Tea Party

To the Editor:

Never in the history of the world have so few stolen so much from so many with so few consequences. Not content with simply stealing from today’s generation, this government for themselves and at war with the people has seen fit to steal from the next several generations as well. I am not only talking about Democrats because Republicans are complicit in this massive theft as well.

Someone please explain to me the difference between John McCain and Nancy Pelosi, between Lindsey Graham and Charles Schumer or between Susan Collins and Harry Reid. There is no difference. They have been playing all of us for fools. We argue with each other — you’re an idiotic Democrat or you’re a mean Republican. Meanwhile they are enriching themselves at our expense. For anyone who doesn’t understand what is going on, it’s the federal government against the people and we are losing.

This is why I support the “Tea Party.” First, it is not a political party and second but most important, both the republicans and the democrats are frightened by the Tea Party and want to destroy it. This is not just about the money. It’s about our most basic freedoms.

In Kentucky, a group of people won third place in Halloween contest for a skit where one of the workers wore an Obama mask. All 750 employees of the hospital were required to take diversity training. As the great Mark Steyn commented, “There’s a designation for countries where mocking the leader gets you sent to reeducation camp, and it isn’t ‘self-governing republic of freeborn citizens.’” I would be hopeful if one of those employees told the hospital to “take this job and shove it”. Unfortunately, with the government stealing everything they can from the population, there are precious few jobs left and those that are available are part-time with no benefits. It’s tough to have convictions when you have a family to feed.

No worries though because we will all be in the same boat soon (except for government elites). With the Federal Reserve printing $80 billion per month, even a very good job will not buy you much in the very near future. Add an additional 30 to 40 million illegal immigrants and we will have shanty towns just like Mexico City. The elites will be in gated communities still telling us that they know what’s best for us. Wake up America!
