To the Editor:
On behalf of me as the Adjutant of Granby/Grand County American Legion Post 88 and the Grand County Veterans Advocate/Service Officer, I want to thank all of those who made the Veterans Day Breakfast at Snow Mountain Ranch, YMCA of the Rockies an astounding success.
Snow Mountain Ranch Director Truman Hoffmiester, and his staff, of food and guest services have made this event honoring United States Veterans and allied Veterans from Great Britain, Canada and France another resounding success.
Attendees included brave women and men who selflessly gave up their youth to secure freedom as we know it, spanning the time period from the bombing of Great Britain in the 1930s to recently returning Veterans from Afghanistan in 2013.
Special thanks to all those patriotic volunteers who assisted anonymously and selflessly, and to Juliet Shams for her rendition of the National Anthem.
Making the program an unforgettable day were the Granby Elementary Mini Singers led by Mr. Tanner Denny. Their performance not only brought lumps to the throat, but also tears of joy to the attendees. God Bless our freedom and God Bless America.
