Obama government is out of touch

To the Editor:

Obama and the Democrats are out of touch with most Americans. Most Americans think a president should try and help the country though a crisis and not play partisan politics. Obama did the opposite and told the government to make the shutdown as painful as possible. DC malls that had never been shut down before were closed. Veterans could not visit their memorials. Soldiers killed in action were not paid their death benefits, yet Obama approved protest marches by illegal immigrants.

Most Americans think the president and Congress should work with all Americans to resolve our problems. The majority of Americans were and still are opposed to ObamaCare. The House vote to de-fund ObamaCare represented 55 percent of America. Two out of every three voters think we should enact spending cuts before extending the Debt Ceiling. Yet, Obama and Senate Democrats refused to even talk to, much less negotiate with the Republicans who represent the majority of Americans on these issues. However, in the same week Obama agreed to negotiate with the terrorist country of Iran.

Most Americans feel Congress and the President should tell the truth on major bills they try to pass. It is now clear that Obama and every Democrat that ran for office in 2012, lied about every key issue in Obama Care. Obama and all Democrats said, “if you like your health care plan you can keep it.” A Duke University Health Care economist, Christopher Conover, now estimates that more than 129 million people will lose their health plan when Obama Care is fully implemented.

The Washington post just gave Obama four Pinocchio’s for his recent speech in Boston to defend Obama care. He is a truly corrupt ideologue. For Obama and the Democrats, the end justifies the means.

In the shutdown effort to de-fund ObamaCare, the Democrats kept saying “wasn’t the election about ObamaCare and we won?” Now we know the election was a complete fraud. If Obama and the Democrats had told the truth about ObamaCare, Obama would have lost the election and the senate, and ObamaCare would have been repealed.
