Fraser River Valley Lions Club president Jerry Nissen, left, and Lions Foundation of Fraser Valley president Dennis Troutman hold a check representing nearly $60,000 that the organization presented to 23 local nonprofit organizations during a luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 23, at Snow Mountain Ranch.  Recipients of the funds were: Fraser Valley Library, Grand County Historical Association, Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater Youth Theater Program, Eternal Hills Christian Preschool, Fraser Valley Elementary  2nd Grade Class, Fraser Valley Elementary Special Education, Indian Peaks Charter School, Advocates For A Violence Free Community, Girl Scouts, Grand Angels, Grand County Council on Aging, Grand County Rural Health Network, Grand Futures Prevention Coalition, Heart of the Mountains Hospice, Horizons Specialized Services, Mountain Family Center, Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA, Run For Independence, Shining Stars Foundation, Colorado Lions Camp, Colorado Lions Kidsight, Lions Club Foundation of Fraser Valley Inc., Local Vision Assistance, Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank, Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute Foundation, Middle Park Volleyball, National Sports Center For the Disabled and Winter Park Horseman’s Association.
