Public invited to help in superintendent search
Ryan Summerlin October 5, 2012
Members of the community, along with school district staff, are invited to participate in
focus group meetings October 16 and 17, 2012 to help East Grand School District
develop a leadership profile for a new superintendent of schools. A consultant from
Colorado Association of School Boards, which has been retained to conduct the search
process, will facilitate the focus groups.
Participants in the one-hour meetings will discuss the leadership qualities and skills
necessary for the new superintendent to be successful. Information gathered from the
focus groups will be used to advertise the position and will be the basis of interview
questions for candidates.
Focus group sessions are scheduled as follows:
Tuesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Fraser Valley Elementary School
Wednesday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. at East Grand Middle School
All are welcome to attend either session. Please call 887-2581 with any questions.
The Board of Education is expected to name the new superintendent February 5, 2013.
