Return ballots no later than 7 p.m., Nov. 5
November 1, 2013
Voters must return ballots for the 2013 election by 7 p.m. on Nov. 5.
Ballots sent from Grand County may arrive to their destination Hot Sulphur Springs the next day, but this is not a guarantee since mail journeys to Denver and back. Voters are advised to send their ballots by Saturday, Nov. 2, to be safe.
Prior to Election Day, early voters can physically return their ballots to the county’s designated “voter service and polling center,” located at the Grand County Administration Building in Hot Sulphur Springs, during regular business hours on Friday, Nov. 1 through Tuesday, Nov. 5, excluding Sunday, Nov. 3.
Come Nov. 5, voters have the option to return ballots to either the County Administration Building or one of several ballot drop-off locations, which are located in Fraser, Grand Lake, Granby, Kremmling and Tabernash. These locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day only. Voters from any precinct may drop off ballots at any one of the drop-off locations.
In-person voting will only be conducted at the County Administration Building.
Voters can also submit their ballots by mail, but they must be received by at 7 p.m. on Nov. 5. Postmarks do not count as a received date.
In the case of damaged or lost ballots, voters can request replacements by calling the county election office at 970-725-3065 during regular business hours, or on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Replacements can also be picked up in person at the County Administration Building.
Residents can register or change addresses in person at the County Administration Building through Election Day.
