Fish eager for sucker meat in Granby, Grand Lake, Williams Fork
Ryan Summerlin October 1, 2013
Shadow mountain spillway has been fishing very good for kokanee and brown trout. The kokes are hitting small ice jigs 3-6’ deep tipped with a wax worm. Browns are chasing crank baits and streamers. The lake trout in Granby, Grand Lake and Williams Fork have been a little more eager to bite 2-3” jigs tipped with a small piece of sucker meat. They have also been hitting spoons while trolling. Brown trout in the rivers are chasing brightly colored streamers and the Brookfield up in Rocky Mountain National Park are eating just about anything drifted their way. Wolford continues to produce koke for the trollers but the jigging bite got tough last week.
