The Pole Creek Ladies 18 hole golf league is in full swing after a long, snowy winter. The first tournament of the year was played on May 29. The Sweet Sixteen tournament had the Ladies throw out their worst hole on the front nine and their worst hole on the back nine. The winners were: Low Gross— 1st Place Susie Noel, 72; 2nd Place Linda Moore, 76; 3rd Place Julie Richards, 80. Low Net — 1st Place Diane Bishop, 52; 2nd Place Joanne Foster, 53; 3rd Place Tie: Sandy Williams 57, Julie Sawyer 57. The chip in pot was split between Susie Noel and Helen Brown. Diane Bishop, Pam Brown and Julie Richards all split the putt pot with a three way tie with 30 putts.

On June 5, the Pole Creek Ladies golf league enjoyed a beautiful day playing the Ones tournament. They played regular stroke play and totaled the 9 holes that started with the letter O N E S. The winners were: Low Gross — 1st Place Linda Moore 37; 2nd Place Tie} Maggy Helm 43; Diane Bishop 43; Deb Kohlwey 43; 3rd Place Tie} Cindy Moynahan 44; Susie Noel 44. Low Net — 1st Place Sandy Williams 31; 2nd Place Madelyne Stevens 32; 3rd Place Kate LaBelle 33. Julie Sawyer won the large chip in pot and Kate LaBelle was the first place winner in putt pot with 30 putts

The Pole Creek Ladies League had another great day of golf on June 12. They played regular stroke play. At the end of their round they totaled their score, subtracted their handicap, and then added their putts for the day. The winners were: 1st Place Julie Sawyer, 93; 2nd Place Betty Williams, 101; 3rd Place Tie— Michelle DeFrange, 105, Deb Kohlwey, 105; Julie Sawyer won low putts for the day with 27. There were four ladies that shared the chip in pot, Madelyne Stevens, Michelle DeFrange, Cathy Malone and Julie Sawyer.
