Stillwater Chapel welcomes new pastor
Ryan Summerlin January 15, 2013
On Sunday, Jan. 20, the congregation of Stillwater Community Chapel officially welcomes Dr. Gordon England with an installation ceremony during their regular 10:30 a.m. worship service. After the service there will be a Meet and Greet time, along with a lunch to be served in Applequist Hall. The Grand County community is invited to join in the service and celebration as well as the lunch. Dr. England is the son of two teachers and began his own career teaching music at all levels from elementary through the university. Then, after spending eight years as a missionary in the Philippines, he returned to the Denver area to be the senior pastor of Calvary Church in Broomfield for the next 14 years. While serving there, Dr. England also became one of the original members of the Board of Directors of Promise Keepers Men’s Ministry, eventually leaving the pastorate to be on the full-time staff of Promise Keepers as the Director of Evangelism. Most recently he has been on the Pastoral staff of Crossroads Baptist Church in Northglenn.
The entire Stillwater family eagerly welcomes Dr. Gordon England and his wife of 43 years, Karen. Their extensive knowledge and experience in all fields of ministry will be beneficial in serving the people of Grand County.
