Sunshine Herb Corner in Fraser reopens
November 13, 2012
Sunshine Herb Corner, formerly Nature’s Sunshine, is celebrating its grand reopening this week with an open house from 2-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, where visitors can enjoy free samples and some helpful tips and advice on living a healthy lifestyle.
Located at 411 Zerex in Fraser, across U.S. Highway 40 from Ace Hardware, Sunshine Herb Corner offers vitamins and nutritional herbs as well as helpful advice and health scans to help their customers achieve a healthy lifestyle.
The shop carries over 500 Nature’s Sunshine products including but not limited to: Chinese herbal combinations, children’s chewables, essential oils, protein drinks, vitamins and nutritional herb supplements, weight management and fitness supplements, gluten free snacks and baking ingredients, and Kombuchu and chia seeds.
The shop also offers bio scans, the first of which is free. Bio scans can tell you what your body needs, whether it is a change in diet, more water, or a certain supplement, by interpreting the electrical impulses in your hand.
Health consultations are also available by appointment, where the staff of Sunshine Herb Corner can help identify what your health goals are and how to achieve those goals through the use of natural supplements.
While use of natural supplements is often considered to be a health sustaining or preventative exercise, natural supplements can also help to aid in the treatment of existing conditions.
Jeanette Thomson, the owner of the shop, has been operating the business for almost two years. The shop recently underwent a name change when a larger chain of stores forced them to.
Her son, Parks Thompson, is another face you will see floating around the store, or floating around in the terrain park at Winter Park as he is a pro skier who boasts well known sponsors. Parks competes in big air competitions and helps customers at the shop with the knowledge he has gained after using various herbs and supplements throughout his life.
Sofia Fisher is the third person who helps out around the shop. She has lived in Fraser for 16 years with her husband and four children and is passionate about helping people find an answer to their health needs. She enjoys researching ailments to find products that will help people and has an extensive knowledge of digestive and immune system support as well as essential oils.
More information about the store can be found at their website, sunshineherbcorner.com or by calling 970-531-3663.
