Middle Park Medical hires Trampas Hutches as new operations chief

KREMMLING — Middle Park Medical Center’s new chief operating officer says he looks forward to taking Grand County health care “to the next level.”

Trampas Hutches comes to Kremmling after 10 years as a radiology manager at the Regional Medical Center in Sydney, Neb. He began his position as Middle Park Medical’s COO on Monday, July 15. According to CEO Cole White, Hutches has already proven invaluable.

“He’s been with us about a week, and he’s a great asset already,” White said. “He hit the ground running and I couldn’t be more pleased.”

White said Hutches also brings a diverse professional background that will benefit the hospital’s operations. Originally from Springfield, Colo., Hutches received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. He also received a degree in radiologic technology from Pueblo Community College, and worked in radiology for about a year before he moved to Sydney, Neb. to work as the radiology manager. Trampas is currently working on a master’s degree in health care administration.

“One of the things we sometimes lack in rural America is perspective,” White said. “Trampas has perspective within his health care career. He’s worked for a number of organizations, and he’s also filled a number of roles in those organizations.”

Hutches said he plans to use his experience to grow a strong community in Kremmling and Grand County by promoting good health and physical activity, as well as collaborating with other organizations to help meet community needs.

“We have excellent people,” he said. “My goal is to take that to the next level, making us one of the best hospitals in a rural setting.”

Hutches said he’s also focusing on plans to modernize the Kremmling hospital.

“ A lot of times people come to a facility, see it’s old, and it doesn’t exhibit the quality of care people think they’re getting here,” he said. “We’re looking at a newer facility that everyone can be proud of.”
