Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park has reopened to all traffic, as of 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Trails on the west side of the Continental Divide in the Park have reopened to day use, though no backcountry camping permits will be issued until further notice.

Two trails remain closed on the west side of the Park, Timber Lake and access to Granite Falls, due to the need for further assessment prior to opening.

Highway 7 on the east side of the park is also open, allowing access to Estes Park businesses. Commercial traffic is no longer allowed over Trail Ridge Road.

The Park is currently working to reopen Timber Creek Campground.
