WINTER PARK – The coolest race on snow is coming to Winter Park this spring.
The Winter Park/Fraser Rotary Club is hosting Winter Park Wipe Out presented by Grand Adventures on April 6, 2013, that takes participants on the ultimate mountain town adventure around Winter Park.
Winter Park Wipe Out is in its inaugural year and is sure to bring out the competitor in all. Participants will embark on an extreme adventure throughout Winter Park as they find themselves at various destinations around town.
Mystery clues and obstacles will be presented at each checkpoint with the opportunity for participants to earn party beads, which can be redeemed for prizes. Challenges will include snowmobile tows, frozen turkey bowling, hammerschlagen and many other wild winter games.
The event will begin at 3 p.m. when participants will scatter around town competing in mental and physical challenges in a course expected to take about 2.5 hours to complete.
Those brave enough will end their adventure at Grand Park by making their way through the Wipe Out Zone. Once your race is complete, participants are invited to the after-party where they will be presented with beer, hot chocolate, s’mores, music and chances to win more prizes. Proceeds from the Winter Park Wipe Out race will benefit local children’s charities.
